Meet the Author
Lewis B. Douglas
Lewis B. Douglas is a fantasy author and worldbuilder with a lifelong love of imaginative storytelling. His creative influences include fantasy and science-fiction films, role-playing games, JRPGs, manga, and the collaborative experience of building adventures around a gaming table.
He approaches scenes cinematically—first imagining the movement, atmosphere, dialogue, and emotion as if directing a film, then translating that vision into prose. His stories focus on living worlds, layered histories, human choices, and magic that always carries consequences.
Through Mother Crystal Studios, Lewis is building a creative home for original novels, short fiction, RPG adventures, worldbuilding resources, and explorations of the process behind them.

The Stories Behind the Story
◆
Fantasy
Fantasy offers the freedom to explore familiar emotions and difficult choices through unfamiliar places, ancient mysteries, and impossible possibilities.
⚔
Role-Playing Games
Building campaigns taught Lewis that worlds become memorable when characters can affect them—and when every decision creates another possible story.
✦
Cinematic Storytelling
Scenes begin as movement, sound, atmosphere, and emotion. The goal is prose that allows readers to see the world unfolding around them.
The Studio
Why Mother Crystal Studios?
Within The Resonance Cycle, the Mother Crystal is the source of the creative energy called Aether. That energy travels through the Fey Realm and gives life to many distinct worlds.
The studio follows the same idea. Mother Crystal Studios is the creative source. Stories, articles, RPG adventures, and other channels carry that creativity outward, where each project can become a world of its own.
✦
One Source. Many Channels. Many Worlds.
Everything resonates.
The Road to Resonance
The Resonance Cycle grew from a love of worldbuilding and collaborative fantasy. What began with the instincts of an RPG campaign gradually developed into a larger saga spanning separate worlds, ancient histories, and a shared source of creation.
The first novel begins in a world that has forgotten the truth about magic. As the series expands, new stories and adventures will introduce other worlds—each different, yet connected by the forces moving quietly between them.
