Introducing The Resonance Cycle: One Source, Five Worlds

The Flagship Saga

One Source. Five Worlds.

Introducing The Resonance Cycle—a developing fantasy saga of forgotten histories, living magic, difficult choices, and worlds that will gradually learn to resonate as one.

Some stories begin with a character. Others begin with a place, a conflict, or a single unanswered question.

The Resonance Cycle began with a world.

What first grew from the instincts of a tabletop role-playing campaign gradually became something larger: a fantasy saga spanning five distinct worlds, each with its own people, history, conflicts, and relationship with magic.

At first, their stories will appear separate. The characters of one world may know nothing of the others. Entire civilizations will rise, struggle, and remember creation in different ways. Only over time will the forces connecting them begin to emerge.

A Living Source of Creation

At the heart of the cycle is the Mother Crystal—the ancient source of the creative energy known as Aether.

The Mother Crystal is not a throne, ruler, or distant god directing events from above. It simply is: immense, ancient, and alive with possibility.

From that source, Aether travels through the Fey Realm and outward into the worlds. Each world receives and understands it differently. Cultures give it different names. Some learn to cooperate with it. Others attempt to command it, exploit it, fear it, or deny that it exists at all.

Magic is not merely a tool to be commanded. It is a conversation with a living world.

The First Doorway

A World That Forgot

The first novel opens in a world that has forgotten the truth about magic.

For three thousand years, humanity and the Aetheri lived together during an era remembered as the Age of Harmony. Rivers, forests, storms, and settlements were tended through cooperation rather than control.

Then one catastrophic night changed everything.

History came to remember magic as a betrayal. An Empire rose from the ashes, and generations learned to fear what had once been part of everyday life.

Years later, an unknown young woman is discovered outside the rural town of Blackstone—and a past buried beneath centuries of certainty begins moving again.

Blackstone is the first doorway into The Resonance Cycle, but it will not be the last.

Why Five Worlds?

The five worlds are not intended to be different backdrops for the same kind of story. Each will have its own identity, atmosphere, cultures, conflicts, and understanding of the forces shaping existence.

Each world should feel capable of standing on its own before its deeper relationship to the cycle becomes clear. Their connections will be revealed through the stories rather than explained in advance.

This creates room for novels, short fiction, histories, character accounts, and RPG adventures to explore different corners of the setting. Some will reveal central events. Others will show how those events are remembered, misunderstood, or transformed by time.

What Does It Mean to Resonate?

Resonance is more than a connection between worlds. It is the idea that choices, relationships, losses, and acts of courage can create consequences far beyond the moment in which they occur.

A forgotten truth can still shape a civilization. A decision made in one generation can become the conflict inherited by another. Separate lives can influence one another long before the people living them understand why.

As the cycle unfolds, its worlds will begin to echo one another. By the final stages of the saga, those echoes will become impossible to ignore.
